Glaurung Rise

🔥🐍 Glaurung – The First of Fire and Shadow 🐍🔥

I created this artwork after being inspired by one of the most chilling moments in The Silmarillion—the birth of Glaurung, the Father of Dragons.

In this scene, from the fiery depths of Angband, Glaurung emerges—a monstrous drake, molten scales dripping as he rises from the lava pools deep beneath the earth. Standing before him is Morgoth, his dark creator, cloaked in shadow and flame, gazing upon his new weapon with grim satisfaction.

This is the first dragon, born not of nature but of hatred, fire, and will, a creature destined to bring ruin to the Noldor Elves and darken the history of Middle-earth.
