🐉🔥 Ancalagon the Black – Morgoth’s Final Weapon 🔥🐉

This artwork was inspired by The Silmarillion, where I imagined the terrifying rise of Ancalagon the Black, Morgoth’s greatest and final weapon.

In this piece, I’ve shown the moment this colossal, dark dragon erupts from the heart of Angband, summoned during the War of Wrath. His wings cast shadows over mountains, and his size is so vast, it’s said he could cover peaks with his claws.

Forged by fire and shadow, Ancalagon was not just a beast—but a living catastrophe, bred to bring ruin to the armies of the Valar. His flight turned the sky to flame, and his fall alone shattered the peaks of Thangorodrim.
