Telperion The Silver Tree

Inspired by The Silmarillion, I created this artwork reimagining Telperion, the first of the Two Trees of Valinor, in the form of a noble male spirit, bathed in soft silver light.

Telperion, often called the White Tree, was the elder tree, created by Yavanna and beloved of the Valar. His light was cool, silver, and pure, waxing and waning like the first dawns of the world. From his dews came the light that nourished the land, and from his memory came the lineage of the White Trees of Númenor and Gondor.

In this artwork, I imagined him standing beneath the night sky of Aman, a calm guardian of twilight, ageless and radiant—a living source of starlight before the sun and moon ever rose.
